The Self-Transcendence 6-Hour Race is held annually in Kingston, Ontario, on the first Saturday of June, starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m. The course is a beautiful, 1-km loop around Fort Frederick at the Royal Military College and alongside Lake Ontario. The race is put on by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team and is part of the Ontario Ultramarathon Series. Prizes go to the first three men and women finishers. The Barbara McLeod Award is given annually to the Most Inspiring Runner, as voted by fellow runners. Special awards are given to runners over 60, and roses are offered—courtesy of Barbara McLeod—to all women runners. All participants receive certificates.

In 2010, the 6-Hour Race is scheduled for Saturday, June 5—again at RMC. A new feature of the race is a three-person team relay, with each member of the team completing two of the six hours.
