About the author:

Medur is our go-to person for many of the essential tasks involved in putting on our races: race setup, our lap counting system and our website. An enthusiastic runner himself, he has participated in many editions of the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run in Canada and the US.

The Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in conjunction with Tri BC have added a new racing category in both triathlon and duathlon for athletes with a disability(AWAD).

An AWAD athlete who is considering entering our event should first contact Mr. Victor Vandenboomen (250-217-9249) to discuss any questions or issues you may have before formally submitting an application form. Victor did the triathlon last year just 8 months after breaking his neck in a cycling accident and his determination has inspired us to do whatever we reasonably can to accommodate athletes with similar physical disabilities.
